Quality Engineering The first step in any quality program is customer communication. What does the customer really want? Parts made to print? Yes! But we do more. At OSP we ask questions that will help ensure that your parts are made to print and will function as planned. Quality Manufacturing Work orders released to the shop floor detail the dimensions that must be checked, the gauges to be used, and the frequency with which the parts need to be checked. Before any production run, the manufacturing Quality Department checks and approves sample parts. Highly skilled, quality conscious machinists complete the quality cycle.

Quality Gauge Control Quality assurance begins with quality gauging. OSP guages are maintained in a controlled environment under very close supervision. Gauges and their location are tracked by computer and both checked and calibrated on a scheduled basis. Quality Inspection Mechanical processes are never perfect. Machines, tools and people occasionally fall short of perfection. The Inspection Department receives a copy of the work order for each and every part produced. The work order details customer specifications including the gauges required along with inspection instructions and any special requirements.
